Make-A-List Monday - A Productive Week! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Wow, last week was very productive!  I guess I just need to know I have a very limited amount of time and lots to do to get motivated.  So without further ado, here's last week's list and what I did...

1.  Baste and quilt the special project quilt.
Done!  It's all ready to go, and I'll share more about this one after it is gifted.

2.  Make a back for the reindeer quilt.
Done!  And I managed to make it using fabrics I already had on hand - win/win!

3.  Make a back for ...

Make-A-List Monday - Two Hurricanes??? Seriously??? from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

It has finally arrived - the week of our vacation - and what is currently churning its way through the Gulf of Mexico?  Not one, but two - TWO! - hurricanes!  2020 strikes again.  But we are hoping they will turn away from where we are going to stay, and rain or not, storms or not, we are.going.to.the.beach!

But enough of that.  Let's see how last week's list went!

1.  Deconstruct clothing items for the two customer quilts.

Mostly done.  I've deconstructed all but a couple of blocks that the customer brought this weekend.  This ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Progress Made, And New Projects Started... from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Friday has rolled around once again, and that means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on!  It's been a busy and full week around here, as I imagine it has been wherever you are - but hopefully you've got something to whoop about this week.  So let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

Last week I shared Lilli's annual quilt as a work in progress, and this week, while it's still a work in progress, it is also a finished quilt top!

Lilli wanted a quilt large enough for her queen size bed, and ...

Make-A-List Monday - Wishin' and Hopin'... from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Monday, Monday... the start of a new week and a new list of tasks!  I had a busy week last week but didn't even look at my list after I wrote it, so I have no idea if I met any of those goals... so let's find out!

1.  Make a plan and write estimates for two new customer quilts.

Done!  The customer liked the idea and the price, so I'm good to go this week.  Here's a pic of what I have planned...

The white areas will be for t-shirts and memory fabrics ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? The Gang's All Here! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Can you believe Friday has made it here again?  Seems like these weeks are just flying by - but time does fly when you're having fun.  And I have been having some serious fun this week!  Friday means it's time to get our whoop whoop on, so let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

You all probably know that I make a quilt each year for each of my grandkids and give it to them at Christmas time.  It's a fun way to commemorate their year - the quilt usually has something to remind them of what they were like ...

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop? Lots Going On! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Well, here it is, Friday again, can you believe it?  The weeks are just flying by, it seems.  But Friday means it's time for us to get our whoop whoop on, so let's get started!

*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*

First up is this t-shirt quilt for a young man who just lost his dad unexpectedly.  One of his mom's friends commissioned this quilt and I was honored to be part of its story.

Pretty blues make this a cheerful quilt, and one I hope he will enjoy for many years to come.

I love the texture simple straight line ...

Make-A-List Monday - Progress, and Another Busy Week! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

After a busy week and weekend, Monday has rolled around again and another week has begun!  And it's August - can you believe it?  This year has seemed both interminable and like it's flying by, both at the same time.  I don't understand that, but I bet many of you feel the same way.

Let's see - last week I had a few things on my list, like making some see-through masks for friends...

These went to a family in Georgia...

...and these were made for my grandkids' school interpreter!

I also had on my list ...

Make-A-List Monday - Back on the Mask-Making Bandwagon! from Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Hi, all!

Where did the week go?  Seems like time is just flying in these hot days of summer.  I did succeed in getting my Christmas in July post done in time last week (hooray!) but it looks like this will be another busy and single-minded week this week as I work on a big order...

I've got a request to make thirty see-through masks for a local audiologist's office, and hallelujah, I finally found a pattern that I REALLY like for these!  I saw a mask on Instagram designed by @chezvies (Elvira Threeyama) that looked like it ...

*&*&*&*&*&*&*

The first thing I'm whooping about is making the deadline for the Christmas in July Pattern Parade hosted by Carole at From My Carolina Home!  I was a little worried I wouldn't make it, but everything fell into place and my post went up ...
